You're SUPER!

Once every month since the Digital Delights Super Hero release, i've picked one of the Super Hero images to work with.  This time, i did a twist to show that the image didn't have to be what it was intended to be/look like. I went for a super "woman"...and not in the same context as "Superman" and his counterpart. This image is called, Fearless Freda.   I wanted to show that this image can be used for a Thank you card, or for an encouraging card..or even a Mother's Day card.

Here is the card i made for the Digital Delights Blog:

If you try to find this sentiment as i've used it, you won't find it.  I've used Digital Delights blank Circus Ticket, and two different Super Hero sentiments..i used the "You're" from one sentiment and "Super" from another one..i just cropped the words and put them together and then used the Circus Ticket png format to layer it..  It worked really well.

Dies used on this card are:
Memory Box star border, LifeStyle label 8 frame, stars the were cut out from the MB border and random star punches i had in my stash.

Don't forget to ask to see if we still have the above dies in stock at Dutch Paper Crafts!

Copics used:
skin- YR000, 00, R20
hair- E53, 55, 57
glasses- R35, 37, 39, BG10
cape/shirt stripes- R35, 37, 39
belt/buttons/badge- Y28, YR21 (gold twinklette marker)
skirt- B93, 95, 99
vest/gloves- C1, 3
boots- C1, 3, 5, 7
shirt- C3, 5, 7

Please, please check out the other cards/projects my team mates made at the Digital Delights blog or you can check out the Digital Delights challenge blog and win some great prizes!

Snow much fun!

For this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches, our sponsor this week is Paper Pretties and i am using Sofia's Snow Angel.  I am not a snow fan..and i grew up in MI so i know i don't like it..i did think it was fun to make snow angels..even though i got totally covered in that cold stuff.

Here is my card, please come and join us at Tuesday Morning Sketches for this challenge:

Have you seen this new technique where card makers are putting clumps of embossing enamel on the image's white area..well, i couldn't get the Fran-tage enamel, so i went for this other enamel..and i don't have clumps..but splotches.. LOL..i added some glitter as i was heating it up.  Oh yeah.. i did find out that card makers are heating the clumpy stuff from underneath and don't use the embossing ink.  Anyway, this is my experiment..eventually i hope someone will do a youtube video using it as the background.   I also used an embossing folder with two different designs..snowflakes on the top and dots on the bottom, or vice versa, depending on how you want it on your card. :0)  I sanded it too...ha, ha, but after i embossed the chunky embossing enamel.  Both of the dies are a Spellbinders die..and from two different sets.  The silver snowflake is a brad that i cut the back off.

Copics used:

Challenges:
Clear it Out Challenge- The snow is falling, anything goes/stash snowflake (that silver snowflake brad is super old, i cut off the prongs and used it as a charm)

Scrap Creations: Going Grey-  Make it Sparkle (other than the obvious glitter embedded in the embossing enamel, i also painted the snow with Extreme Glitter Paint..which is hard to see in the photo..and i used metallic paper for the blue snowflake)

C...is for Challenge- Winter is coming

Mistletoe and a cutie

I don't know why, but i am calling this mistletoe.. cause it's not.   I just liked the whole idea of using the fir and the cute image from  A Day for Daisies.   What started me thinking of this was the Precious Snowflake die from Memory Box.

This card could be a fairly easy card to make to send out as a Christmas card.  The only thing that took a tiny bit of time was coloring the image and what took a tiny bit longer than that was fussy cutting the image.

I've made this card for Dutch Paper Crafts, it is for the Memory Box Snowflake release.  The die in the Memory Box snowflake release is called "Precious Snowflakes" #98729, it is the smaller version in the set of two.   I LOVE, LOVE, the delicate bow..super cute.   I could make a collection of cards just using this die.  Think of all you could "hang" from it.   A stocking die, or colored stocking image, it could be a holding a banner on each side, i am just saying this is a great staple for any Christmas card.

In this instance i cut the die out twice and actually cut it apart and lined it back up again.    I did add some red stickles to the center of the snowflake.   The fir die is a Doo Hickey die called Sprawling Fern, however, there are quite a few on the market now..that you could substitute...maybe one that looks more like a mistletoe. :o)

The stamp is from A Day for Daisies.

Twisted Easel Snowflake card

I bet you think that i am getting ready for Christmas already..because i am getting all of these Snowflake projects together. Right now i think this is one of my favorite cards.  I love the ease of this fancy fold.  All you do is crease the top of a card diagonally.. how easy is that?

I've created this card for Dutch Paper Crafts, it is a Memory Box Snowflake release.

On this card i used Memory Box Sussex Snowflake #98648, Precious Snowflakes (large one) #98729
For this card i've also used Memory Box Frostyville border #98146 and Memory Box Resting Birds #98527. I've also used Spellbinders Classic oval and scalloped oval.

Circle inside a circle Gatefold Snowflake Card

Whew that title was a mouth full!  This card is from Dutch Paper Craft's memory Box Snowflake release.  I am telling you, this bundle is AWESOME..so many things to do with just a few dies.    What is the saying, "It's just a tip of the iceberg"!

For this card i wanted to do a new "fancy fold" for me.  It's really not hard if you check it out.  It's just a circle adhered to one side (right) and a cut out circle on the left.

I used the Memory Box Sussex Snowflake #98648 and the Sussex Globe #98656 together for the center.  I also used Gabriella Border #98649 around the outside of the circles.
A couple of things about the outside of this card.  The edges were cut using one of my favorite dies called Charlotte Border #98242.  This border is different then most because it doesn't cut through on one side..sort of like working with a border punch.   The kraft Gabriella border is part of the release but i wanted to say that because of it's delicate lines, it is flexible and can curve like i did here..otherwise it can be as shown on the packaging in a straight line.  Below i've slightly opened the card so you can see how it works, and it can stand up.

I've also finished off the inside of this card.  I used the "negative part" of the Sussex Snowflake and embossed the inside using a LifeStyle Crafts snowflake embossing folder EF-A2-056, any would do.  The cute little elf is from A Day For Daisies.  I've added a sentiment to the sent of the "candy" and used Inkessentials Glossy Accents on top of the sentiment.

Shake it up a bit, Dutch Paper Crafts Snowflake Release

This is sort of funny, for this Memory Box Snowflake release at Dutch Paper Crafts, i decided to use the main die as it was "intended"...for a Snow Globe, but guess what?  I don't own the snowglobe die from Memory Box so i "winged" it.

For this card i used, Memory Box Snowflake Globe 98656, one of the dies from Peaceful Snowflake frame 98716 (small piece along the bottom of the base, probably intended for a sentiment), Precious Snowflake 98729 and the Snowflake Cutwork 98647.
I  also used the circle sentiment free online here at Bizzy Becs and enlarged it to 4.30". The animal stamp came with a magazine for free...however, any image you'd put inside of a snowglobe would look great!  I cut the Snowflake globe from a cereal box to get the "kraft" color i wanted.  Again, the foil is cut from kitchen foil (i used 3 layers at the same time).  The foil section in the center of the globe die is from the card i did with the foil Sussex Snowflake die.  You can't get the solid piece with this die you need the Sussex snowflake die..and then you use the "negative" piece.   Inside the card i used the Snowflake cutwork and backed the paper with black to make the cutwork "pop".   I also used the bottom of the smallest Precious Snowflake die and cut it out twice and rotated them to get this snowflake look.
Copics used:
Dog- E41, 43, 44, 25, 29
nose- C7
cheeks- R20, 22
