Sherri Baldy's My Besties Printable pre-colored banner set...NEW!

For some time now, Sherri Baldy has been offering Printable Card toppers, 3D images and even more printables on her CD's!

Today i would like to share something new at Sherri Baldy's Scrapbook Stamp Society.. Printable pre-colored Banners.  These banners can be made any size and have gorgeous colors!

I chose to make the banner so that the pennants measure 1.75" and use them on a card and with the current theme... Distressing.  More info on my blog Grandma Bonnie's Place.

This printable set comes with the entire alphabet and two banners w/pictures as shown on my card.  It also comes with the same My Besties images put in a frame.  To purchase this lovely set please go to Scrapbook Stamp Society here.

To make the banners on my card, i hand tore around the edges and then inked them with a Tim Holtz ink pad.  I did the same for the frame My Besties image.  I also distressed the edges of the card and inked them as well.  I used some fantastic ribbon from my favorite Etsy store called The Pink Petal.

The Love word die is from Sherri Baldy's Etsy store here.
The foliage and the butterflies are from Noor/Joy Craft
The pink lace is from DooHickey

My friend, Julie Gleeson, and a Design Team Member of My Besties International has created the Banner (full size) for her daughter..and it is gorgeous!

Sherri Baldy's My Besties 3D Snowball Ornament

For the next two weeks at My Besties 3-D Deco Challenge blog we have another great challenge for you!

The theme is, Bell's, Baubles or Beads (Add one or two or all three to your card or Project)

To participate in our My Besties 3D challenges go here:

For this project i colored up this image 029  found at Sherri Baldy's My Besties Etsy store here or Scrapbook Stamp Society here and only used the top half of the image and then attached it to an actual ornament.

Side view showing the 3D layers:

Dies i used:
Memory Box Holly leaves. (in the video i used Doo Hickey holly leaves dies)

YouTube video instructions:

Written instructions:

What i did to make this ornament.  I purchase a set of "snowballs" (these are styrofoam type based..not glass or plastic) from Michaels.  I purchased some ornaments at a charity shop just so that i could take the ornament caps off.  Then i hot glued the ornament caps to the snowball.  I added the holly leaves and some beads..again hot gluing them to the ornament.  Next i colored my image and turned it into a 3D image.  Now for the tricky part.  I cut a strip of acrylic (from packaging).  At one end i made it into a point so that i could push it into the ornament base.  I used hot glue to add the acrylic strip to the back of iedthe 3D image, i do not recommend doing that because it starts to melt.. i would use a heavy duty glue and let it dry.  You have to position the acrylic on the back of the image so it will sit supporting the image on the ornament. You can test it with a glue dot first. To make it easy to push the acrylic strip into the ornament base, i first used my Xacto knife and made a slit into the ornament. Then i glued it into the the ornament to secure it.  Next i pulled the elbows of the image forward and hot glued them to the ornament.  Looks easy, but there is a bit of fussiness to this. I attached a ribbon to the back to hang the ornament, because if you look at the original digi you can see she is leaning on the ornament and the cap is to the side. i thought of adding an ornament hook, but because of gravity..it looks better without it.

My Besties Bottlecap printable release- Winter wonderland

I was invited by my a new My Besties friend, Chantale, from Quebec Canada to create something with a My Besties printable Bottlecap release for a Challenge at the My Besties French Challenge Blog here

I have chosen to make a Winter wonderland card using this super cute My Besties bottlecap! My Besties Bottlecap printables can be found here.
Here is a close up of the bottlecap image:
What are some of the dies i have used:
White doily, cream doily and birdcage- Memory box or Poppy Stamps
Snowflake not sure anymore.
Pine ferns might be Doo Hickey or Memory Box.

I have used Mod Podge Dimensional Magic and Stampendous glitter and a gem inside of my bottle cap.  Snow covered flowers and glitter flowers are from Petaloo. The white flower in the center is from Michaels bargain bins.

I made the Clay/foam frame around the bottlecap using a Crayola Air dry clay that dries quickly using a silicone frame mold.

Sherri Baldy's My Besties 3D Little Princess

I had made a project that failed, so i didn't want to throw it away..instead i re-created it using the main part.  When all else fails..make a card, i always say..  (well sometimes i do.. lol)

So what started out as a different project has now turned into a wonderful card for a Princess's Birthday...  This image is a pre-colored 3D sheet.  It is one that all you have to do is cut out all of the layers and build them up with foam tape.  The result is always satisfying and the recipients love them.

Here is a link to this 3D sheet if you'd like to try it yourself!  Little Princess 3D.

Dies that i used on this card are:
Purple metallic flourish- Memory Box
Floral white border- Poppy Stamps
Green romantic heart frame- Sherri Baldy
White doily- Lifestyle Crafts

For the video hop i made this Canvas framed art using image 0003
another view:
How did i make this framed art?  I flipped the canvas and used the back side for my shadow box frame.  I cut out the My Besties image and glued her to the canvas.  Then i used Mod Podge Dimensional and sprinkled glitter around the image.

I have also used several embellishments from a great store called Creating with Details.  the flowers and the beaded flower is from this store, along with the pretty lace on the bottom.

The wooden snowflakes are from Michaels.

the banner is a punch from Fiskars, i am not sure what corner die that is though.

Day Two of the Sherri Baldy's New release- Santa Printable Tags!

Day two of Sherri Baldy's newly released Printable tags.  These tags are available at Scrapbook Stamp Society here.

You might be thinking..what am i going to do with a tag??? ... well let me show you some ideas and then hop on over to the My Besties 3D Challenge Blog where the team has even more ways to use your tags!

Today, i used the tag as is and just embellished it and taped it to a card.  Again a great way to use this tag as an embellishment!
This card happens to be a step card with an added twist..the cut out circle to give the look of Santa and his reindeer flying.  To see instructions on how to make my card you can go to another post on my blog here

For my tag, i hand cut the tag out.  Then i used a border punch/or you can use a die cut border on some designer paper.  Placed my tag on and then i cut around it. i also punched out the holly leaves and put the sentiment on top of the leaves.  This covers up the "to" printed on the tags. The tag below is found here.

Sherri Baldy's My Besties brand new release.. Printable My Besties tags!

That's right, Sherri Baldy has released Printable tags with some of your favorite My Besties images.  These tags are available at Scrapbook Stamp Society here.

You might be thinking..what am i going to do with a tag??? ... well let me show you some ideas and then hop on over to the My Besties 3D Challenge Blog where the team has even more ways to use your tags!

Here is a fun idea..turn them into Gift Card Holders.. i have two ways to do that and i have included instructions also.

How to make a gift card using a printable tag:
Crop one of the tags and enlarge it to 2.80" (you will have a bit of white around the image. Place the image at the top of the paper (paper direction should be horizontal). I used cardstock weight paper. Fold the paper in half just below the outline..as shown in the photo. Hand cut around the tag..leaving the fold on the bottom. If you want the slanted front..just cut on the diagonal and add some paper border or lace. Trace around your tag to get the inside liner. Tape the the side only of the mailbox card. tape the bottom and side on the tree card. Hole punch at the top and add ribbon etc. Embellish.
